My name is Joseph Cann — I'm a passionate backend and freelance web developer, with the dreams of one day being called a full stack developer. I've spent the past five+ years immersed in tech: coding, breaking things (ethically), and building secure, reliable systems. This website is a passion project sparked by my curiosity about how data can be hidden in plain sight. It explores one of the most intriguing tools in digital security: steganography. Here, you'll get hands-on with the techniques used to embed messages within images—no gimmicks, just clever code and a bit of digital sleight of hand.

CipherPic is part portfolio, part educational resource, and part deep dive into a topic I find genuinely fascinating. I built this site not just to showcase what I know, but to keep learning. Evolution

The next step for CipherPic is to evolve into something even more powerful: a secure, steganography-based password manager. Instead of storing passwords in conventional encrypted databases, this tool will hide sensitive credentials inside image files using advanced steganographic and cryptographic techniques. The goal is to rethink how we protect and access our digital identities — combining the familiarity of visual media with the strength of encryption, and giving users an unconventional, private, and user-controlled way to manage their passwords.
